Signatures

Sign once and every template report can carry your signature. And when a template has its own signature field, the client or a witness can sign on your iPhone or iPad right there.

1

Save your signature

  1. Open Settings → Signature.

  2. Sign with your finger in the box under Draw a new one. Clear starts over.

  3. Tap Save Signature.

Prefer pen and paper? Tap Photograph instead, sign on white paper and take a photo; you can crop it before it's saved.

Your current signature is shown at the top. Tap Remove to delete it — reports then go out unsigned.

2

Choose which reports to sign

Once a signature is saved, the Generate Report screen shows Sign this report. Leave it on to sign, or turn it off for this report.

To set where that switch starts, use Include Signature by Default in Settings → Report Preferences.

3

Where it appears

Your signature goes at the end of template reports, with your name from Prepared By and the date the report was made. In the PDF it sits under the line This report reflects the conditions observed at the time of the visit.

Freestyle reports don't carry a signature.

Signature fields in templates

Some templates have their own signature fields — for the client, a reviewer or a witness. In the walk, tap the field and the person signs with a finger above the line. Sign again replaces it.

The signature is saved with the walk on your device, so it works with no signal. It appears in that section of the PDF and the web report, labeled with its role. When those fields are signed, the report shows them instead of adding your saved signature at the end; if they're left blank, your saved signature still goes on.

To add a signature field to your own template, see Editing your templates.
